1.Beware of the risk of electric shock

When the power of the generator set entering the utility line it must pass through a transfer switch with mechanical interlocking, and we must ensure that it is separated from the city grid power system. In the need for grid connection it must be approved by the professional department and the use of special equipment for grid connection. Otherwise, there will be serious equipment and personal accident hazards.

The unit must be reliably grounded and insulated tools must be used for overhauling the electrical equipment and attention must be paid to the risk of electric shock in humid environments.

Observe all electrical regulations and the installation and servicing of the electrical portion of the electrical equipment must be performed by a qualified electrical professional.

2.Exhaust gas is toxic

There should be a suitable exhaust gas discharge system to ensure that the engine exhaust gas are emitted outdoor and frequently check is necessary for the exhaust gas discharge system to ensure there has no air leakage. When there is exhaust gas in the generator room, you should open the doors and windows to discharge the exhaust gas before entering the room to prevent carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas from poisoning people.

3.Operational safety

Do not use the generator set in areas where there is a risk of explosives.

It is dangerous to be close to a running generator. Loose clothing, hair and falling tools can cause major accidents to people and equipment. Running generator sets, with some exposed pipes and parts will be in a hot state and should avoid from touch burns.

4.Fire Prevention

Metal objects will lead to a short circuit in the wire and can cause a fire hazard.

Keep the engine clean. Excessive oil may trigger overheating of the cylinder body of the engine and can cause damage and fire. Dry powder or carbon dioxide gas fire extinguishers should be placed in a convenient place in the generator room.

5.Safety in the use of lead-acid batteries

Diluted sulfuric acid electrolyte of lead-acid batteries is toxic and corrosive and will cause burns when in contact with the skin. If splashed into the eyes, flush with plenty of clean water immediately and send for medical care.

The battery will release explosive gases during use so make sure the room is well ventilated and prohibited from near any open flames.

6.Start Security

In extremely cold conditions starting the generator set requires preheat device, and never bake the engine body with an open flame. The battery electrolyte temperature is best maintained at 10 ℃ or more for the battery to provide sufficient power.
