Indonesia — Phase One of Tide Power’s 40MW independent power plant (IPP) project in Indonesia has officially entered commercial operation after successfully completing integrated system commissioning and grid-connection tests. This milestone marks the project’s transition from equipment installation to commercial power generation.

The project is located in an area with year-round high temperatures, high humidity and severe salt-spray corrosion, placing strict demands on equipment adaptability and durability. The Phase One power plant solution uses MWM gas engines and Leroy-Somer alternators.
As an authorised MWM OEM partner, Tide Power strengthened anti-salt-spray and anti-corrosion treatment and high-temperature configuration during the selection stage. During commissioning, the team fine-tuned the load balancing and control system for multiple units operating in parallel, ensuring stable output under varying load conditions.
Since entering commercial operation, the Phase One generating units have run smoothly, with all indicators meeting design requirements. From equipment selection to on-site commissioning, the gas power system has proven its reliability in the archipelago’s challenging environment.

Commissioning is not only the completion of construction but also the beginning of long-term operation. With Phase One now connected to the grid, Tide Power’s technical team provided systematic operator training covering start-stop procedures, routine inspections, fault identification and emergency response, supporting the customer’s long-term independent operation.
Work on the remaining phases is progressing as planned. The stable output of Phase One provides reliable power infrastructure for industrial parks and communities across the Indonesian archipelago. Tide Power remains committed to supporting regional economic and social development with reliable products, services and professional energy solutions.
