Combined heat and power (CHP) is the use of heat engines or power generation equipment to simultaneously generate electricity and usable heat.

The power industry has been developing large units, large power plants and large power grids. Because the larger the capacity of the generator set, the higher the power generation efficiency and the lower the investment per kilowatt. Since the main body of the electric power industry has been coal-fired thermal power generation for a long time, it is precisely because of such a large concentration mode that the heat discharged during the power generation process cannot be fully utilized and is discharged into the atmosphere in vain. The loss of the line makes the primary energy efficiency of the terminal use electricity very low.

The combined heat and power generation developed on the basis of traditional power plants recovers part of the heat exhausted by the power plant and transmits it to users through the heat network, thereby greatly improving the primary energy efficiency. The gas-fired cogeneration technology is to utilize the waste heat of the gas-fired generator set. The temperature of the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust pipe of the generator is as high as 560℃. The heat energy of the exhaust gas is absorbed by the heat reuse device (exhaust gas boiler), and the temperature of the exhaust gas of the generator is controlled at the same time. At around 100℃ to 130℃, while producing heat energy, it also makes the generator run more efficiently and economically.
