Remote telecom towers, oil and gas well sites, islands, border posts and hydrology stations often share the same power challenge: extending the grid can cost more than the site itself, while diesel-only power is expensive and unreliable.
Tide Power’s integrated solar-storage-diesel solution answers this by turning each site into its own microgrid. PV, battery storage, a diesel generator and a hybrid inverter are integrated into one standard cabinet. The energy logic is simple: solar first, storage fills the gaps, diesel backs up.

All energy passes through a single inverter for voltage stabilization and filtering, delivering pure sine wave output for telecom base stations and precision industrial control. PV is connected on the DC side and shares a bus with the battery, reducing conversion losses and improving system efficiency.
The unit is skid-mounted and can be lifted or moved by forklift. PV is pre-installed, and on-site wiring is minimal — the system arrives as a complete microgrid configuration and is ready to run.
By letting the battery carry base load, the diesel generator only starts when needed and runs at high load in its efficient range. This reduces low-load wear, extends overhaul intervals and lowers maintenance costs. Self-diagnostics, automatic alarms and protection, plus independent air conditioning for the battery cabinet and water cooling for the diesel engine, support long service life in harsh climates.
The result is a shift from high-maintenance operation to a long-term asset.
