Power on the Move: Tide Power Launches Mobile Power Unit

By tidepower 28 October, 2026

On many construction sites, work moves month by month — but power often arrives year by year. Temporary power needs are increasingly fragmented and frequent, and the location of demand keeps changing.

Tide Power’s new Mobile Power unit is designed for this reality. As part of the company’s mobile hybrid energy solution, it brings the idea of a “micro power station” to sites that need power quickly and flexibly.

The unit is pre-commissioned before delivery. On site, it is simply landed, connected and switched on. Its compact, lightweight design allows it to be handled by a standard forklift or light truck, and it can be towed, truck-mounted or forklift-moved. For EPC contractors and rental companies, this means one investment can serve multiple projects — a city site today, an outdoor event tomorrow.

The Mobile Power unit uses a high-performance hybrid inverter and smart BMS, delivering pure sine wave output with stable voltage and frequency. Precision instruments, communication equipment and medical devices can be connected directly. The unit is IP54 rated, with BMS monitoring and protection against overcharge, overdischarge, overload, short circuit, high temperature and leakage.

Its seamless on/off-grid switching capability makes it a strong emergency power source for municipal repair, medical rescue and events. The system accepts PV, grid, diesel and battery inputs and automatically dispatches energy for optimal performance. Valley charging and solar self-consumption help cut electricity costs, while battery or PV mode delivers zero emissions and low noise.

From fixed microgrids to mobile units, Tide Power’s hybrid portfolio is built to match the scenario — and to keep power moving with the work.
